Recent Holiday Wrightsville Beach Review: "I'm easy going so I don't want to slam this hotel for a few minor issues but I do think they need to do better planning. I gave the hotel mostly 5s since it is a very nice hotel and the staff was great. There was a wedding party staying at the hotel for the weekend part of our stay and during that time a few complications arose that impacted our stay. First,  we ate quite a bit at the hotel restaurant and everything was great most times. But we happened to mistakenly have dinner at the hotel the same night as the wedding reception. Unfortunately this meant an unusually long wait (30-40 minutes) despite the hostess' estimate of a few minutes. Also our food was really slow to show up. The hostess and the wait staff were really wonderful under pressure, but they should not have been put in that position. If 100+ people were being served in the reception hall someone really should have planned better for the event. Second, there was a problem with hot water on 2 consecutive days. This would likely not have been a problem if not for the wedding as the hotel was at full capacity even though our stay was pre-season. Otherwise we could likely have easily changed rooms, which we eventually did after the weekend. Equipment failures happen, I get that, so no real complaints there. Also the staff was very apologetic and offered for us to shower in another room - I suppose we couldn't initially move to that room as there were other guests in our wing with the same water issues who would also need access to that room. I just think they need to do a better job of planning. Also, they should probably have credited us a night, or knocked a dinner off of our bill. We were there for 6 nights and were impacted by the hot water 2 mornings in a row. I hope the bride and groom didn't have to take cold showers on their wedding day :(. At any rate, under normal circumstances I think this would be an excellent place to stay. The location is great, right on the beach. They have an indoor"
