Recent Hilton Wilmington Riverside Review: "We were in Wilmington NC for a wedding. Having never been in that part of the state, I had no idea where to book but the Hilton Riverside was one of the 4 area hotels recommended by the wedding couple. After looking at all 4 on Tripadvisor, I chose the Riverside and was glad I did! Coming from California, we were not interested in staying near a beach  so the downtown/riverside location of this hotel was perfect. I enjoyed wandering through the downtown shops, eating at a great restaurant there and touring the historic district. The location is very convenient also to a couple of the main sights: the Battleship North Carolina and the Coast Guard cruiser Diligence - both of which can be toured. There are boat and carriage tours available all within a short walk from the hotel, and they also happened to be filming a segment of One Tree Hill around the corner from the hotel - a not-unusual event that might interest some. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful, our room had a lovely river view and the bed was comfortable. In all, a very nice place to stay in the area. I doubt we will return to Wilmington, but if we do I would certainly consider staying again at the Hilton Riverside."
