We were there off-season, so some things weren't open, but the Boardwalk area next door to the hotel promised lots of fun in the Summer! We hope to go back then... the hotel itself was very nice, only wish breakfast had been included with the room. The card-swipe key system was having trouble while we were there, but maintenance was super-quick to respond,  so we had no complaints. Would definitely stay there again.

The Courtyard Marriot on Carolina Beach is beautiful & has a wonderful view of the ocean, and access to walk right out onto the beach.

Hotel was clean and room was decorated nicely, bed was very comfortable, view was awesome. Overall a very nice facility. The downside, during check in I was ask for a credit card, although my room had been paid in advance. I was told this was just in case there were additional charges, like phone calls. But I was not told that $20.00 was automatically  charged to my card at that moment. I felt this information was withheld purposely. I would not have agreeded to such a charge in advance. There was suppose to be iternet service in the rooms, after several phone calls with Marriott tech center, that afternoon, no luck getting connected. Later that night the tech did call back but we had gone to bed. On the day of check out, the hotel had lost hot water, and it was 25 degrees outside. We checked out with showering. I understand that these things happen, but there was no compensation offered.

Overall, a very good stay! The hotel itself is very well maintained and incredibly comfortable. Only one way in and out is a little inconvienient, though. I don't know if the hotel can do anything about that, though. The surrounding 'neighborhood' isn't that great. The boardwalk area leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel is probably the nicest building/business  in the area. The beach area, though, is wonderful!

Right on the beach, this hotel was a great place to stay. My only regret was that we didn't stay longer; the room was spacious and comfortable, the view was priceless; a balcony opening to the ocean and all of the sights and sounds it had to offer. While this Courtyard did not offer free breakfast, we found that the breakfast offered was filling and  at least priced appropriately.

Clean environment, with a friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. Easy access to the beach and a short ride to surrounding restaurants and/or shopping centers. The closest thing I had to an issue was a couple of shaky room keys. After a visit to the front desk, I quickly received replacements and that was the end of that. I would certainly  recommend this hotel to others; it's very likely that I will return at some point, myself.

The Hotel was very nice, although they should have a better sign pointing to the right street to turn down, we went down 2 wrong ones before we got the right one (my daughter-in-law did the same thing), you can see the hotel from a distance, but is hard to figure out the right street to turn down......we lost power for a bit and they gave us battery  powered candles, and I accidently left a necklace in the room when we checked out, I notified them the very next day, the room had not been used since, I left a message with house keeping about it, no one returned my call, so my fiancee called again a few days after, they got back to us finally, and no necklace was found, so I am a bit dissappointed about that........the last night there the people above us were a bit noisy, but we just let it go.......overall a very nice place to stay right on the beach, beautiful view from the 7th floor !

Hotel is well situated and the beach is just a few steps from the hotel. Only shortcoming is that it has a limited food/bar service and area. They serve a nice breakfast buffet but lunch and dinner is more of a snack bar style. Still nice but limited. Overall experience was great and there are several places to eat nearby, so that is the better opt  ion.

I had reservations at the Sheraton Atlantic Beach but due to "Irene" they are closed until Jan.1 2012. I had to scramble to get rooms for the weekend and I think thing's happen for a reason. We stayed over the weekend of 9/9 thru 9/12. We had a "Priceless Experience". Time with my granddaughter we had a treasure hunt, we looked for shell's and we played  in the Ocean and the Pool. There are something's that you can't put a price on and this was one of those times. I want to thank the hotel stakk and wish anyone that stay's there to have as much fun as we did.
