Recent Country Airport Convention Review: "My wife, our two daughters and I came down to Wilmington for Father's day weekend to spend time at the beach and do some fishing. I booked what I thought was the basic room with just two beds and a TV for a special low price on a stay two deal. The room we got was much nicer. We had a table and chair and a nice dresser with a hide-away refrigerator  and microwave with lots of room. The digital room temperature controls was a nice touch. The only thing I take off points for was that the bathroom was tiny and the shower fixtures were dated and showed wear and tear. The hot tub was luke warm at best and the heated in-door pool was a little on the cold side, but since we spent most of the time at the beach it did not bother us much. After a day of deep sea fishing the hot tub being hot for the tired muscles would have been nice. The breakfast was better than a lot I have seen for more expensive hotels but the area was small and ran out of places to sit when it got busy. The biscuits I got were slightly old but the sausage gravy was hot. I saw the lady bring out fresh trays of biscuits several times while I was at breakfast so I must have gotten mine just before a new pan was brought out. Overall we were very pleased."
